I have always loved this time of year but this year, for some reason I am completely buzzing about Halloween and Autumn and Christmas and all things seasonal. Growing up, pumpkin carving was always a thing in our house but we’d get excited over creating the simple Jack O’Lantern face and lighting it up for trick or treaters, now, all of a sudden carving a masterpiece into your pumpkin is ‘all the rage’ with the cool kids and plastered over Instagram so I thought that this year, I’d give it a go. In the last few years, I suppose because we all grew up, we stopped making the effort around Halloween. Now that I am a ‘proper’ grown up, (much to my nieces and nephews dismay), I can re light the Halloween spirit and pass on my excitement with those that understand it best. My babies.
nb: carving a work of art into a pumpkin is so much harder than it looks so we do apologies for our lack of creativity.
I had the cutest day getting into the Halloween spirit and I am super excited to get a couple of scary films on and have a super cute Halloween this Saturday. I have made the perfect cupcakes which is an ideal way to use your leftover pumpkin and so will share those with you this week. Stay tuned and have a spoooooky one.
