BEING ON PAUSE

break

I guess I should probably start by saying ‘It’s been a while’ but actually, it hasn’t felt all that long ago since my head was spinning with different pressures and challenges and insecurities, both in blog world and my own personal life – which I suppose is half of the problem. I’ve taken a few steps back from blogging in the past couple of months and as much as I’ve missed this, I was beginning to feel a little sick of pretending everything was all fab when not everything wasn’t.

This isn’t me quitting. This is just a short hello to say that I’m not going anywhere but that I need some time to sort myself out before I start sharing all again. I have a post sitting, waiting, so you might get to read that at some point. Besides, the festive season has gate crashed its way in FINALLY and we all know that I wouldn’t be able to stay away forever.

Sometimes we just need a break and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (soz, broken record). Blogging was never about showing off for me, nor was it about ruining life’s best moments with constant photos and note taking. Blogging wasn’t really meant to be scheduled or regimented or a competition. And I can’t help but feel that until my life feels fab again (and don’t get me wrong, sometimes it’s so fab that I just don’t want to blog about it) then I need to chill the fuck out and do me.

So yeah, that’s that.

Maybe I’ll come back from this a completely new woman and you won’t even recognise thehouseonthegreen.

I’ll be seeing you.
