MONDAY CATCH UP: EASTER BREAK & FEELING HAPPY

Happy Monday Friends.

I’m sitting here, hair wet, pjs, eating my body-weight in Lindt chocolate, reliving Tanya Burr’s Vlogmas, scrolling Instagram (and fuming over it’s updates) and praying that the next couple of hours halts as the thought of returning back to work tomorrow breaks my heart.

It’s been a little while since we’ve had a general chinwag so thought it would be nice to say hey. I have had the cutest Easter break, and not having to work as I did all over easter last year, has felt incredible. I dedicated my 4 days off in the most OAP way I know how – resting, sleeping, cleaning, pampering, eating and spending some good times with the boyfriend and our families.

I needed this break. Although I still feel like I need a break after this one, it has been the best thing to refuel and get tired doing things that I enjoy. Yesterday, I spent the day at Chessington World of Adventures which made the cutest change to how I usually spend my Sundays (asleep). After being woken by Charlie at 5 in the morning on Saturday in true drunken fashion, I’m surprised we made it up and alive, ready for the day. After a hot chocolate and some doughnuts later, we had survived – even in the mass of rainfalls that decided to grace England this Easter and I had the most loveliest day.  Once home, I stuffed my face with pick n’mix sweets and fell asleep in my clothes, waking up 14 hours later confused about life. Good from me.

I’m happy though. Really happy. I’m not spending too much time at home and when I am, I’m cozied up in my room but I’m trying to stay busy and it seems to be working. I’m currently looking for a car which is the bain of my life and the amount of holidays I want to book but can’t is the most upsetting feeling, but I’m good. I have the best and craziest nieces and nephew who spent the day at mine on Saturday to bake some treats, I have the most amazing siblings, the bestest friends that take me for food and listen to my rants and the most beaut boyfriend that puts up with my laziness, makes me laugh with his stupidness and gets me excited for life (they didn’t even pay me to say all of that)

Work’s as good as it can be – I’m feeling super productive, super busy and my brain is fully done by 6pm but I’m still enjoying learning new things about the web, and people management and client communication and it’s also got me thinking a lot about what it is I want to spend my life doing, got me questioning how long I’ll stay, what my next steps will be and how I want to get there – which makes getting up in the morning (which is honestly the worst thing in the world) that little bit better.

I have so many blogging plans for April, I am super excited to expand, meet new bloggers, be brave and get involved and would love to get to know all of you beauts that I spend my days stalking and reading up on.

I hope you have all had the most amazing bank holiday break and that you’re ready to kick ass in the last week of March. Apologies on the long cringey post; sometimes it just helps to talk a load of rubbish just to get it all out.

Praying I can sleep tonight after my very lazy Monday,

Speak to you very soon,

lovelove,

R.
