When I say this week, what I actually mean is last week. I was too busy being lazy at the weekend which most likely, should be included in this list. I’ve enjoyed sharing the things that have made me happy and heard some good things from people that like reading them so here I go with another week; another bout of happiness.
Last week was actually super slow, by the time Thursday came around, I was done. Ready to book a flight to anywhere and never come back. But even after a difficult week, it made sense to sit and reflect on the things that made it a good one. And actually, upon reflection, it wasn’t so bad after all.
Getting deliveries. There is one thing, and probably only one thing, that I don’t like about online shopping, and that is the wait. But this week, my pay day treats came! YAY.
Flowers. Spring is upon us and it’s time to get the tulips in, making me very happy.
Booking a Holiday. Although I booked a return, this week I did book a little summer break to Italy with one of my best girls, Casey. I am incredibly excited to get back to the land of pizza, spend 5 days in the sun and visit the home of Romeo and Juliet in Verona and have a good shop in Milan!
Catching up with my sister. My sister is one of my favourite people in the world. Now that I work 9-6, I don’t get to see her as much as I used to so this week it was nice to have a late night chat about life and home and boys. There’s nothing better than a bitch and some good advice.
Almond Lattes. I’m guilty for drinking far too many lattes but whatever gets us through the week! It turns out that Almond Lattes are life changing, making the morning commute almost bearable.
Pub drinks. Sadly, a colleague of mine left work this week (not so happy) but we did all get together and bond last Tuesday with after-work drinks at the pub. It takes me a fair bit to get me to move after work, but I’m glad I spent a couple of hours de-stressing and having a laugh with my work friends.
Unproductive Fridays and Creme Eggs. A good day at work all round as we began our Friday morning (and pretty much the rest of the day) hunting for eggs. Not only did we all spend the day eating chocolate and tweeting Cadburys, we also spent two hours in the pub at lunch. A very good Friday.
My friend Gabrielle. Over the weekend, I ventured into London to meet my bestest friend Gabrielle for some cute drinks and food. We decided to see what the fuss was all about at The Queen of Hoxton’s ‘Once Upon a Wigwam’. Massively cute and my buttered beer was yummy but we were hungry so opted for some good food across the road and then a few drinks and a bit of awkward dancing. She also now has a blog btw – so go and find her @ thedifferencediaries
The Sun. I know that it’s England and I’m getting my hopes up, but it makes me very happy to see that the Sun has been coming out. To leave work at 6 and still have an hour of sunlight, makes me a very happy lady.
Making Pizza. He’ll tell me off if he isn’t included but this weekend, Charlie and I decided to have a quiet one and make pizzas, watch a lot of suits and spend our Saturday night in bed with cider and chocolate. Not even sorry. I needed it.
Monday is coming to an end so that already makes for a good week. I have lots of plans, it’s one week closer to Bank Holiday weekend and I’m about to jump into a very good bath and get into bed. Now that isn’t so bad is it?!

Really loved reading this post. New follower by the way 😉
I think it’s the small things that can make someone happy. It’s great to see that you appreciate it all. I need to learn to do that!
