10 THINGS THAT HAVE MADE ME HAPPY THIS WEEK

19.12.15

Happy Saturday Friends!

It’s been a manic week so blogmas has had to take a little bit of a back seat. It’ll be a little easier in the Christmas break but I’ve had work hangovers and work and life and I’m not sure I’ve ever been so tired. Perhaps not an excuse, but what do you want from me?!

Besides all the madness, I’ve had a lovely festive week and this is why:

Winter Wonderland – Had such a cute day last Saturday. The Christmassy event in Hyde Park is couples galore so it was good to get in on all of that soppiness, get some mulled wine down us, beat the kids at the dodgems and lose at every single fairground game.

Treating myself to a Costa in the morning – It’s been a little while since I’ve treated myself to a coffee on the way to work. Salted Caramel Cappuccino and Mocha Latte has been exactly what I’ve needed to get me through the week and makes such a difference to my morning.

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven – I’m really enjoying getting into a book again. I read so much this Summer that I thought that when returning home, I’d keep it up but I’ve just been too busy. Loving the story so far though, binge reading is definitely on the cards to get it finished.

The train announcement – It has been a shitty week for London Transport and I am fuming with them. What did make me happy however were the announcements on my train returning home from work on Wednesday. Such a happy guy who thought he’d have a laugh when announcing Surrey’s landmarks. It was cute to see everyone having a cheeky smile about it, especially considering how moody we all usually are.

Cakes on Christmas Jumper day – As an office, we eat a shit load of bad food and constantly get the biscuits in so it’s no surprise we raised £80 for Text Santa, just by eating cake. A very good day.

Secret Santa and my Christmas bonus – As I am new to work, I’ve been a little worried about receiving my secret santa present but I was really pleased with it. I also had the cutest gesture from my director who gave us all champagne and a very generous sum of money in our christmas card. I am in complete shock at how good I have it.

Christmas Party and CAU, Kingston – Insanely good food, lots of cocktails in Browns, good company. Such a beaut evening getting to know everyone a little better. My hangover in work the next day though, not ideal.

Bacon Sandwiches and monging out – Friday in the office we were all struggling. It definitely made me happier getting in the bacon sandwiches and just accepting that we would not be getting any work done.

14 hour sleeps – It’s been a good while since I have completely crashed but last night, I was straight in bed after my chinese takeaway and slept through. A very decent 14 hours later and it felt good to wake up to no work and a morning of complete chills.

Fresh sheets – Nothing better.

Can you believe that Christmas Day is only a crazy 4 days away?! I’m not prepared at all, but I’m feeling good. I have a couple of posts lined up to get me back on track and I am so so excited for the classic christmas food shop, some great films, a lot of cake and bakes and ten days in pjs.

Catch up with you tomorrow but until then,

lovelove,

R.
