LAZY DAYS ROUTINE

Sunday’s are known worldwide (I’m guessing) for being a down day, a completely acceptable 24 hours to spend in bed, eating, watching endless tv and not a lot else. For anyone that knows me well, and probably all of you that just read my blogs, y’all know I like a lazy day and I take them seriously. Today has been super lush and for anyone that would like to learn from the best, then I have documented the key stages of my lazy day routine for you to do with what you wish.

Sunday, 10:30AM. I wake up after the best lie in ever, head a little sore from the night before. Scroll through all social media just incase I have missed anything in the last 9 hours. Following that, I like to spend the next hour catching up on youtube, my blog and any texts that I probably didn’t receive during the night.

Next, I usually race to the bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face and brave it down the stairs to put the kettle on.

As it’s December, a cheeky advent cannot be forgotten first thing. Selfie isn’t usually necessary.

After a cup of tea, I like to have a chat with the dog and think about what I’d like for breakfast whilst watching Sunday Brunch. Today we went for an egg and bacon baguette and another cup of tea. Nutrition is particularly important.

After breakfast (which usually occurs around lunchtime) I head back to bed. Don’t judge me. This is around the time that I catch up with Netflix. Recently, I have been binge watching Suits which has been fab.

It’s probably around 2pm after a couple of episodes and so I usually try to be sociable, catch up with friends, go for lunch or eat pizza in bed just with extra company. Then comes a bath, which on Sundays mean a lot of bubbles and a good book. For bath time, I am currently using an Apple & Aloe Vero shampoo by Tesco and then 3 times a week conditioning my hair with Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle which smells incredible. To scrub, I use my trusty pot of Gratiae and wash myself down with Original Source Watermelon & Joioba Oil gel.

After the bath, I get out my Body Shop Argan Oil or Dove Summer Glow, sometimes both and moisturise my body. I am also a big fan of Nip & Fab’s Kale Fix Make-up Removing Pads which have done wonders for keeping my face moisturised. If I’m not leaving the house, a quick pyjama change is usually best (on particularly lazy days with no company, I may just stay naked in my dressing gown and that be that – I’m not even sorry)

At around 4:30pm, I usually like to communicate with the family and so I go down and make myself a Cherry Bakewell tea, discuss the level of hangovers occurring in the house and have a sit down with my nan and catch up with any Sunday films before dinner.

Usually on a Sunday we go for a classic roast but as we have reached December, roast dinners are banned in our house until Christmas Day. So even after a lunch time Dominos, we went for pizza and garlic bread. We don’t mess around with Sunday dessert mind and naturally, I had to have a bit of it all. The depression of Monday is slowly seeping through so I’m not even fussed.

7PM-11PM: If the day has gone as planned, I spend the last of my Sunday in front of the tv watching either a film with the family, on my lonesome or catching up with the X Factor results. Absolutely mental scenes.

The end of the night is looming so the alarm gets set, I get back in the bathroom for a final wash and brush of the teeth. Get into bed, stick on some more Suits and 99% of the time, fall straight asleep.

JOB DONE.

It may not always go quite like that; I can be more or less productive. But I do know that I really love the weekend. How do you spend your lazy days?
