HAPPY DAY 7 OF BLOGMAS!
Each year, eight million real christmas trees are brought across the UK.We have alwaaaays had a real pine tree and although it likes to moult, is never perfectly symmetrical and can die on you without love and attention, I would never dream of getting a fake. Maybe we’re getting too old for it in our house but as the years go on, our tree gets a little less love. I don’t mean to neglect it or decorate it with less precision, but after a day of work, a mug of gingerbread latte and my bed calls and I haven’t been so interested in decking the halls. Soz.
Nonetheless, this year we went for blue lights which I’m not too sure I am a massive fan of but I am in love with the cute reindeers from Tesco. Going with the silver, pink and blue theme, although different and cutesy, isn’t my favourite either. I love the traditional colours of christmas and nothing beats a massive tree full of golds and greens and reds. I’ll put a vote in for that next year.
As much as I moan about being too tired, or busy or lazy, decorating the tree, whether you are 13 or 23, will always be a huge thing about the lead up to Christmas and so I wouldn’t dare miss it. Nothing beats a bit of Michael Buble, cake and a cup of tea, whilst sticking up the baubles. And even better, when it’s all finished, the house is tidy and you get to cosy up with the lights and a film. That’s pretty much all I seem to do on reflection… but it wouldn’t be Christmas any other way.
What is on your tree this year?
lovelove,
