30 MARCH – LAST WEEK’S BEST BUYS

So, firstly, sorrrrry this is a day late. I am useless. And very tired after a busy weekend at work. Balancing work and life and blogging isn’t always as easy as it looks on Instagram (When do you people get time to sleep?!) Last week, I was feeling a little sorry for myself and so in the only way I know how (which probably creates more of my problems), I took myself to Lush to shop. I was actually very behaved. But on that trip, I did also pick up a couple of bits to make me feel a little better and to fully embrace “Me Time” and so that’s exactly what I did.

I LOVE LUSH. If I had one closer to my house, I’m sure I’d have bought the entire shop by now.

1ST BUY – Brightside Bubble Bar –  This is actually my faaav and smells so so good. It’s reusable which is such a bonus as you can just soak it into running water. The bath water goes a beaut citrus-sy orange and thus, bubbles are created! I am such a bath person and when I first smelt this, I really thought it’d be for my morning baths to get me ready for the day but it’s actually really good for calming me down in the evening also.

2 – Immaculate Eggception Yellow Bath Bomb – I do like a good bath bath and this one is Easter themed! I actually bought this as I was promised a surprise inside after you crumble away the egg and turn your bath water yellow. I have yet to use the little egg inside but it smells so good and leaves my skin feeling really smooth, which is just what I need now that the sun MIGHT start coming out.

3RD BUY – Girl Online by Zoe Sugg – I’ve really stopped reading since I started working full time and it’s been frustrating to try and get into a book. I actually didn’t think I’d get into this but being a fan, I thought I’d give it a go. Of course, it is a teen book. So if you’re not into your teen books, it probably isn’t your thaaang. But I’m actually really enjoying it so far. Mainly because it’s an easy read. I can get home from work, put the kettle on and grab my book, knowing that I’ll be entertained and yet, won’t have to use my brain so much. Very glad I finally picked it up and is definitely worth a read if you are a Zoella fangirl.

4 – PopTarts – It’s literally the simple things that are keeping me going atm. I haven’t had poptarts in so long and the Smore edition, were gone in a good day and a half. I love the American section. HEAVEN.

So that’s it for last week! I haven’t had too much money to splurge and so I really made it about the little things. I got a few more shifts in work this week, which is a love and hate situation as I am counting the days until I can leave and have my Summer. We all just need to remember to stay positive and remind ourselves that we don’t need to buy lots of things to feel okay – even though it does help. I am loving life, and even a pop tart, a book, a bubble bath a cup of tea will do me just fine.
