MY FAVS AND BRAVES – BAFTA ’15

Last night, the stars took to the Royal Opera House in London to present the 68th BAFTAs, honouring the best British and International contributions to film. There were A LOT of looks that I loved last night so I have put together a few of these, along with the brave choices that maaaay have to de-tag their snaps from the red carpet (soz).

FAVS –

FELICITY JONES – ‘The Theory of Everything’ leading lady wore Dior Haut Couture and really pulled it off. I love the fit waist up and the detail on the skirt is so elegant and pretty. Definitely my favourite look of the night, which is well, as the James Marsh film took away the award for British Outstanding Film.

DIANNA AGRON – I really like this striking red gown by Lanvin worn by the ‘Glee’ star. The waist line is super flattering and looks fab with her quiff up hair do.

DOUGLAS BOOTH – Let’s Hear It For The Boys, Douglas Booth makes it on to the list of my top 3 favs for this year’s BAFTAs. British boy Booth wears dunhill, a luxury menswear brand as he upstages many of the women. You can find dunhill’s collections at www.dunhill.com. I love the olive silk velvet collar shawl cocktail jacket, the white shirt, the silk bow tie, the beard. Enough Said.

Also amongst my favs were Amy Adams, Laura Haddock, Julie Waters, Reese Witherspoon and Edith Bowman. All different and all equally stunnnnnning.

THE BRAVES –

IMELDA STAUNTON – I love Imelda in every film she is in but I wasn’t a fan of her Vivienne Westwood gown. I don’t know if it was the colour or the material, or both together, that got me cringing, but I didn’t need to be reminded of an 80s OTT prom dress we’ve probably seen in 13 Going On 30. Her hair looked bloody good aside from that.

OLIVIA GRANT – I don’t mean to be pale-ist but this Jenny Packham dress just didn’t do it for me on Olivia. The dress itself has so much potential as it is super flattering but the Stardust actress could have wowed in a red or black dress to compliment her beaut red hair. Soz.

ROMOLA GARAI – There is a lot about this look that I would normally love. I am a big pastel fan and reaallly like the skirt by Roksanda. I’m just not feeling the blouse with the blue cuffs and I’m really not brave enough for those Nicholas Kirkwood x Roksanda heels. I am too much of a plain jane.

Talent was good last night as I overlooked the red carpet whilst catching the awards on BBC. I am such a fan of British film and so proud of some of our home grown stars that are kicking Hollywood’s butt and everyone looked amaaaaz. Decentttttt work guyz.

What were your fav and brave looks of the night?
