October 7th 2014 –
A new season is upon us and I am very excited that I now have money to fill my wardrobe with some decent key items this Autumn/Winter. The likes of Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne have turned me green last month whilst they appeared everywhere in the city fashion weeks and I have become obsessed with Burberry – in a way that feels completely different to my 14 year old chav self (dear god). And so I have hunted down my favs of the AW14 trends to share them with you beautiful people.
1. Normcore – loving the simple greys, blacks and whites as normcore, recognised from the 90s, makes its return to high fashion. I have never been too adventurous with what I wear so this trend is perfff. Definitely exited to get a few white-shirt-and-wooly-jumper combos out.
2. Varsity – Sports wear has been making a slow but sure comeback in the last year or two. It is now completely acceptable for girls to wonder around the streets in trainers (NB, I’m coming for ya) and join the boys in baggy sports tees. I am a big fan of everything baseball which hit the shops earlier this year.
3. Pastel – Veryyyy haps that pastels are still going strong. I reaaaally want a light blue coat for this winter. loving this one by River Island on Asos – http://www.asos.com/River-Island/River-Island-Longline-Swagger-Coat/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4552832&WT.ac=rec_viewed&CTAref=Recently+Viewed
4. Checks – You know that when plaid hits the catwalk that winter is approaching. You cannot go wrong with a knitted (also digging) checked shirt or check blazer.
What are you diggin’?
